Tune system font appearance by adjusting Clear Type text

Tuning the appearance of system fonts become necessary especially when you keep your system resolution high , and fonts appear really small. Clear Type adds some shadow , bold effects on the system fonts and makes them clearly visible , in the browser , icon text , folder headings .

Clear Type was available even in windows XP. In this tutorial, We explain how you can tweak the appearance of system fonts in windows 7.

– Navigate to control panel, Click on “Display

Here , you can change Dpi for fonts , change the font size etc. To access clear type, click on “Adjust Clear type text”. A wizard opens up

– Wizard takes you through various steps , select the font style whichever looks good to you, from the wizard.


– Save, and restart the system if required .
