[HowTo] Convert video into different formats using VLC Player

VLC Player is in the top of the list of downloads in softonic. We explained several tweaks and tutorials on VLC Player in the past. Installing VLC Player adds more flexibility in terms of installing and handling of different codes. If you install VLC Player, you can forget about downloading separate codes to play video files of different formats.

VLC Player could be used for

– Extracting Audio files from video and save it as MP3 or in different formats including OGG.

– Cut video clips .

Converting video files sometimes becomes necessary mainly to reduce the file size,  To make video compatible to play in different devices . Lot of video converters are available , since most of us use VLC player for playing back the video, we will use the same to convert videos as well

Steps to Convert the video

– Install the VLC Player, and open it. Click on  “media”.

– Click on  Convert / Save.

– Select / Locate the Video file in your computer click on Add and then, click Convert / Save

– In this step, Select the file format into which the selected video has to be converted. Select a destination folder,then click Start.

Video conversion starts. You can find the converted video file in the destination folder.
