In one of our previous tutorials, we explained about creating a desktop shortcut to start Firefox in Private Browsing Mode, In this tutorial , We will explain how you can do the same for Google Chrome
Incognito mode in Chrome allows you to browse Internet without having to save any browsing data such as
– Passwords
– Cookies
– Browsing History
– Caching of images and other media data
– Form Data
All the data are cleared automatically when you close the Chrome window.
First, Let us create a shortcut to Google Chrome, We will rename it to “Chrome-incognito”
Right click on the newly created shortcut , navigate to properties
The target attribute looks something like this
“C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe”
Modify the Target , as quoted below
“C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe” -incognito
Your shortcut should look like this.
That is all, now you can access Chrome permanently in Incognito mode by double clicking on the shortcut !
