Change computer clock format by changing registry value

Changing the format of computer clock in task bar is not an easy task. In Vista / 7 you will have search a bit to see where exactly the formatting settings are stored.
I came across a registry entry which has the same information . Editing of the same will change the computer clock that gets displayed on the task bar.

Steps :

– First open registry editor : Start Menu -> type : “regedit“.

– Navigate as shown in the picture, and Edit the key “sShortTime” : Change the value to the format you need . Note that

h = Time in 12 hour format
H = Time in 24 hour format.
mm = Minutes.
tt = AM / PM.

Re start the system if required.
