Extract audio from youtube

In one of our previous tutorials we explained how we can save the video from youtube , from temporary internet files. This tutorial explains the method to extract audio from youtube video.

There are many toolbars available online, but we are not using any of those toolbars here, we record audio using windows applications.

You need to download a free recorder, from here

Go to sound recorder settings , by right clicking on the sound icon, and click on recording devices
(In XP click on properties and select recording)

Select sterio mix, and set as default device

Install the sound recorder application

Open the youtube video, pause it, let it stream completely.

Open the recorder application, play youtube video, click on recording. Stop recording when the video playback is complete.
